About me
I’m Amii and I’m your coach and mentor here at Red Rose Coaching. Throughout my career, I’ve worked mostly in male-heavy industries (such as construction, manufacturing, and sports). Being a woman in those worlds came with its challenges. But, my skills, experiences, and personal development always allowed me to find a route to success – whatever that meant to me through different stages of life.
I am hugely passionate about and committed to supporting other women. And my role is to help you identify what success looks like to you, set goals, and guide you on the journey to achieving your dreams.
I was a “bossy” girl (a label I heard a lot as a kid). I am now a well-respected and successful business leader and coach.
At the age of 12, I led a victorious campaign to the headteacher to allow the girls in my year group to attend the same annual sports event that the boys could freely attend (whilst us girls were expected to sit in our normal school lessons with half the class missing).
At the age of 18, I started coaching rugby union and coached hundreds of men, women, and children over more than 15 years whilst regularly facing questions and comments such as: “are you the team manager?” / “my grandson won’t be coached by some girl” / “are you a physio?” / “wow, don’t you look sooo different when you’re not in your tracksuit” / “you’re a girl so you should only coach girls” / “whose wife or girlfriend are you then?” (whilst wearing my teamwear that said ‘COACH’ and my name), and worse.

At the age of 33, I became the first female director of a previously all male-management team. (Side note: my career goal was to be a director by 40 so I smashed that one!)
At the age of 36, I was elected following a vote of member companies to the board of a non-profit membership organisation and became their youngest board member and one of the first women to hold the position.
Being a woman is my superpower in business and I’m here to show you how it can be yours too.
What others say about me
“Amii is kind and assertive in her coaching style. She gave me structure and space for self-exploration and I now feel more confident than I was. Amii helped me get into action mode and to change the way I look at work and other aspects of my life. I feel less stuck, more engaged, and much clearer on what I want from my career.”
S.J.
“Amii is great at identifying the individual strengths of the people she coaches and is able to draw out and improve those to support the wider goal and team, without losing sight of the needs and wishes of each person.”
A.v.W.
“Amii and I worked together for a few years. She is a supportive colleague that goes above and beyond. Amii is the most focused and organised individual and I can think of no-one better suited to be your coach.”
S.C.
